Owner of the Longest Nails Finally Cuts Nails After Almost 30 Years

After 28 years, the woman with the longest nails in the world has finally decided to cut her nails.

The woman named Ayanna Williams admitted that she had liked to lengthen and decorate her nails since she was a child. The last time he cut his nails was in the early 1990s.

After that, this Texas woman decided to continue to grow her nails, until in 2017, she was declared a Guinness World Record holder with 576.40 cm long nails.

At that time it took more than 2 bottles of nail polish (nail polish) with a total of 20 hours of work to decorate the long nails.

Due to very long nails, Ayanna admits that it is difficult to carry out daily activities. He couldn't even wash the dishes or put the bed linen on.

Luckily, Ayanna has the support of the people around her, including the children. He also often boasts of his decades-old nails to young people.

Before finally asking a doctor at a dermatology clinic in Fort Worth, Texas, United States to cut it last weekend, this grandmother's nail length turned out to have reached 733.55 cm.

Before the nails are cut, it takes 3 to 4 bottles of nail polish and a few days to decorate them.

No wonder the doctor had to use an electric rotary tool to cut his nails.

Reporting from Ripley's Believe It or Not!, although her nails have been cut, Ayanna expressed her intention to return to lengthening her nails as long as 15 cm.

Ayanna's nails that have been cut will be preserved and displayed at the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum located in Orlando, Florida, United States.

"With or without my nails, I'm still a queen. It's not my nails that make me great, but I'm what makes them great," Ayanna told Guinness World Records.

The record for the longest nail of all time is still held by Lee Redmond, who started growing it in 1979. The length is 853.44 cm. Unfortunately he had to lose these assets in a car accident in 2009.

In addition, Nilanshi Patel, an Indian girl who entered the Guinness World Records list for the longest hair category, finally got her hair cut after 12 years together.

Quoting from United Press International, the last time Nilanshi cut her hair was when she was 6 years old.

By the time he was 16 years old, his hair had grown to 170.5 cm long.

Investigate, Nilanshi had a bad experience with a hairdresser when he was six years old. That's what made him reluctant to go back to cutting his hair.

He decided to cut his hair a few days before his 18th birthday.

"I was known as the 'real life Rapunzel', now it's time to go back to how I used to be," Patel told Guinness.

This girl stated that she actually wanted to donate her hair to be used as wigs for children with cancer.

But her mother, Kaminiben convinced her that the hair should be on display to inspire others.

Her mother said if her daughter donated it for a museum display, she would be the one to donate her own hair to the cancer wig program.

Before "removing the crown", he took the time to measure it one last time and found that his hair was already 200 cm long!

A few seconds before cutting, he also kissed her hair while saying goodbye.

"I'm really excited and nervous, because I don't know what my new hair will look like so let's see what happens, but I hope I look good," she said before the cut.

After going through a stressful and emotional process, his eyes were closed and he was taken to the mirror to be shown his new appearance.

Luckily he was very happy with his new appearance. "Oh my, how beautiful, cool! - I feel like a princess!" he said happily.

Despite his son's happy reaction, Kaminiben says he misses Nilanshi's hair.

It must have felt strange for Kaminiben, who used to help Nilanshi wash, dry, and comb her hair once a week to no longer help Nilanshi with her current hair.

However, after getting used to the drastic change, he said that Nilanshi looked beautiful with her new haircut.

After all of Nilanshi's hair was cut, it was tied together with a total weight of 266 grams.

After being shipped from India to the United States, the legendary hair will first be on display at Ripley's Believe it or Not! Hollywood.

After that the legendary hair will also be on display at the Guinness World Records Museum.
